3. Recording of data on our website

If our website www.vormann.com is used for purely informational purposes, i.e. unless you sign up via the calibration form or transmit information to us in any other way, we shall only collect the personal data transmitted to our server by your browser. Should you wish to view our website, we will collect the following data that we technically require to display our website to you and to ensure its stability and security:

Cookies

These websites make use of so-called cookies to some extent. Cookies do not inflict any damage on your computer and do not contain any viruses. The purpose of cookies is to make our online services more user-friendly, effective and safe. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.

Most of the cookies deployed by us are so-called “session cookies”. They are deleted again automatically after the end of your website visit. Other cookies remain stored on your terminal device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognise your browser on the occasion of your next visit.

You are able to adjust the settings of your browser in such a way that you are informed about the creation of cookies and permit such cookies only in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies in certain cases or in general and activate the automatic deletion of cookies whenever you close the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be restricted.

Cookies that are necessary for carrying out the electronic communication procedure or to provide certain functions desired by you (e.g. the shopping cart function) are stored based on Art. 6(1)(f)GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies for technically error-free and optimised provision of its services. Should any other cookies (e.g. cookies for analysing your surfing patterns) be stored, they will be treated separately in this data privacy statement.

Server log files

The provider of the pages automatically gathers and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are in particular:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

This data will not be collated with other data sources.

The basis for the data processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, which permits data to be processed in order to fulfil a contract or pre-contractual measures.

Contact form

If you send us enquiries via the contact form, we shall save your information provided in the enquiry form, including your contact data stated therein, for purposes of processing the enquiry and in the event of additional questions. We shall not pass on this data without your consent.

The data entered on the contact form is thus exclusively processed based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may revoke this consent at any time. To do that, please send an informal notification by e-mail to: datenschutz@vormann.com. The legitimacy of the data processing procedures carried out up to the time of revocation shall not be affected by the revocation.

The data entered on the contact form by you remains with us until such time as you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to its storage or the purpose of the data storage lapses (e.g. once the processing of your enquiry has been concluded). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular archival periods – shall not be affected thereby.

Newsletter

Your data will exclusively be used to deliver the newsletter which you have subscribed to by e-mail:. Your name is given in order for us to be able to address you personally in the newsletter and, if applicable, identify you, if you wish to make use of your rights as a data subject.

To receive the newsletter, it is sufficient for you to give your e-mail address. When you subscribe to our newsletter, the data given by you is used exclusively for this purpose. Subscribers may also be informed, by e-mail, about circumstances that are relevant to the service or the registration (e.g. any changes in the newsletter service or technical circumstances).

For an effective registration, we need a valid e-mail address from you. In order to check that a subscription has actually been taken out by the owner of an e-mail address, we deploy the “double opt-in” procedure. For this purpose, we log the ordering of the newsletter, the despatch of a confirmation e-mail and the receipt of the answer requested therewith. Further data will not be collected. The data is only used for the newsletter, and is not passed on to third parties.

On the basis of your express consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), we will regularly send you our newsletter or comparable information by e-mail to your specified e-mail address.

You may revoke the consent to the storage of your personal data and the use of it for the despatch of the newsletter at any time, with effect for the future. There is a corresponding link to be found, for that purpose, in every newsletter. In addition, you may, at any time, also unsubscribe directly on this website or notify us of your revocation via the contact option given at the end of these data privacy statement.

The data will only be processed in this context for as long as the corresponding consent exists. Thereafter, it will be deleted.

Your personal data is provided voluntarily, based solely on your consent. Without any consent existing, we can unfortunately not send you our newsletter.

4. Analysis tools and advertising

Google Analytics

This website uses functions of the website analysis tool, Google Analytics. The provider of Google Analytics is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies". These are text files that are stored on your computer to analyse your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your IP address) is sent to and stored on a Google server in the USA.

Google Analytics cookies are stored based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the analysis of user behaviour in order to optimise both its online services and its advertising activities.

Browser Plugin

You may prevent the installation of cookies by adjusting the settings of your browser; however, if you do so, you may be unable to use all features of this website in their entirety. Further, you may prevent the collection of data generated through cookies (incl. your IP address) and related to your use of this website as well as the processing of such data by Google by downloading and installing the plugin at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

Objection to Data Collection

You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting data by clicking on the following link. This will place an opt-out cookie that will prevent the future collection of your data during visits to this website: Deactivate Google Analytics.

You can find more detailed information about Google Analytics along with the Google data privacy statement at: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de.

Contract data processing

We have concluded an agreement with Google for contract data processing and fully implement the most stringent requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

Demographic features in Google Analytics

This website uses the “demographic features” function of Google Analytics. That means that reports can be prepared which contain statements on the age, sex and interests of the visitor to the website. Such data originates from interest-related advertisements of Google, as well as visitor data from third party providers. Such data cannot be allocated to any particular person. You may deactivate this function at any time via the display settings in your Google account or generally prohibit your data from being gathered by Google Analytics, as explained under “Objecting to data being gathered”.

Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking

This website uses Google AdWords. AdWords is an online advertising program of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States (“Google”).

We use conversion tracking within the context of Google AdWords. When you click on an advert delivered by Google, a cookie is placed for the purpose of conversion tracking. Cookies are small text files, which are placed by the Internet browser on the user’s computer. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days, and do not serve the purpose of personally identifying the user. Should the user visit certain pages of this website and the cookie not yet have expired, both we and Google can recognise that the user has clicked on the advertisement and has been directed to this webpage.

Every Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. The cookies cannot be tracked via the websites of AdWords customers. The information obtained by means of the conversion cookie serves the purpose of preparing conversion statistics for AdWords customers that have chosen conversion tracking. The customers find out the total number of users that have clicked on their advertisement and have been directed to a website bearing a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information by means of which users can be personally identified. If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you may object to such use, by easily deactivating the Google conversion tracking cookie via your web browser under “User settings”. You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics.

Conversion cookies are stored based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the analysis of user behaviour in order to optimise both its online services and its advertising activities.

You can find more information on Google AdWords and Google conversion tracking in Google’s data privacy policy at: https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/.

You can adjust the settings of your browser in such a way that you are informed about the creation of cookies and permit such cookies only in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies in certain cases or in general and activate the automatic deletion of cookies whenever you close the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be restricted.

5. Plugins and Tools

Google Web Fonts

In order to display fonts uniformly, our website uses so-called web fonts that are provided by Google Inc. When a page is accessed, the browser loads the necessary web fonts into the browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly.

For this purpose, the browser used by you needs to connect to Google’s servers. Thereby Google becomes aware of the fact that our website has been accessed via your IP address. Web fonts are deployed in the interests of a uniform and appealing display of our online services. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font is used by your computer.

You can find further information on Google web fonts at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google's Data Privacy Policy at: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.

Google Maps

This site uses the map service of Google Maps, via an API. The provider of Google Maps is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

In order to use the functions of Google Maps, it is necessary to store your IP address. This information is usually transmitted to a server of Google in the USA and stored there. The provider of this site has no control over such data transmission.

Google Maps is used in the interest of our online offers being displayed attractively and for you to be able to find the locations, specified by us on the website, easily. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

More information on dealing with user data can be found in Google’s data privacy policy at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/.

YouTube Videos

We embed YouTube videos on some of our webpages. Operator of the respective plug-ins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA (hereinafter referred to as "YouTube"). If you visit a page with an embedded YouTube plug-in, a connection to YouTube servers will be established. YouTube is, in the process, informed about which pages you visit. If you are logged on to your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to associate your browsing behaviour to you personally. You can prevent this by logging out of YouTube.

If a YouTube video is started, the provider deploys cookies that gather information about usage patterns.

You can obtain further information on the purpose and scope of the gathering of data and the processing of it by YouTube in the data privacy policies of the provider. There you will also find further information on your corresponding rights and settings options for protecting your privacy: (https://policies.google.com/privacy). Google processes your data in the USA and has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield (https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework).

The legal basis for the integration of YouTube and the associated transfer of data to Google is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Accessing YouTube automatically triggers a connection to Google.

Anyone who has deactivated the storage of cookies for the Google ad program will also not have to reckon with such cookies when watching YouTube videos. YouTube, however, also files non-personal usage information in other cookies. Should you wish to prevent this, you need to block cookies from being stored in the browser.

You can find further information on data privacy at YouTube in the provider’s Data Privacy Policy at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/ [DK7]

Google processes your data in the USA and has submitted to the EU_US Privacy Shield https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.

Your personal data is provided voluntarily, based solely on your consent. Should you prevent access, there may, as a result, be limitations in the functioning of the website.
